How We Got Started

Bob Rule, Neil's coach, started teaching his Manhasset Mid High students about his former star player, Neil Barber, and how courageous he is in battling his disease, and the kids began an incredible journey in making Neil a star in another area, giving back to less fortunate families.

NeilsWheelsNY donates food to Homeless Shelters.
January through the end of March, Coach Rule and Neil's Dad will help serve the meals, and make sure the food is used for the Homeless dinners.

AND THEN coach Rule came up with a dance in Neil's honor, where the 7th and 8th graders must bring 3 cans of food to get into the dance.
This could be the model for every school in the country.

2500 pounds of food is promised in December, 2010 and we will feed a lot of Homeless Families!!!!!!!!!
